Use case — Seasonal campaigns

Publisher target lists timed to the season you're about to spend on

Holiday gift guides, back-to-school roundups, tax-season checklists — the publishers that win those windows write about them every year, on a schedule. We pull your vertical from 120M+ classified domains, then use content-topic and freshness signals to surface exactly the sites publishing for your season, screened to your ICP before you brief them.

The job to be done

Build the list before the season opens, not after

Seasonal recruitment is a timing problem. By the time a gift guide ranks, the outreach window has already closed. We identify the publishers that reliably cover your season while there is still time to brief and onboard them. Six steps.

1

Pull the vertical universe

Your category maps to our 120M+ classified-domain database. We pull every active domain in scope, including the seasonal-content long tail no outreach tool has ever profiled.

2

Match the season's topics

You name the occasion — Black Friday, gifting, back-to-school, tax season, spring cleaning. The LLM reads each site for that topic cluster, not just a keyword, so a genuine gift-guide publisher outranks a page that mentions "holiday" once.

3

Score freshness & cadence

We read publishing recency and whether the site covers the season annually. A publisher that ran a gift guide for the last three years is a far safer bet than one that dabbled once.

4

Screen to your ICP

Seasonal fit sits on top of your vertical's ICP — affiliate readiness, audience engagement, editorial independence. A festive page on a competitor's own store is removed by the disqualifier set.

5

Dedup and rank by lead time

Canonical domains collapse duplicates, and publishers are ordered so the ones you must reach earliest — high-authority annual gift guides — surface at the top of the queue.

6

Deliver ahead of the window

A deduplicated CSV with topic-match and freshness scores, sized for your season and delivered with enough runway to actually onboard partners before it opens.

Built for the calendar

A few of the seasons publishers plan around

Each season has its own topic cluster and its own recruitment lead time. Name yours and the run tunes to it; these are illustrative, not a fixed menu.

Oct – Dec

Holiday & gifting

Gift guides, "best presents for X", Black Friday and Cyber Monday roundups — the highest-competition window, so lead time matters most.

Jul – Sep

Back-to-school

Supplies, dorm setups, student tech and budgeting content aimed at parents and students shopping the new term.

Jan – Apr

Tax season

Filing guides, deduction checklists and software comparisons — publishers that spike every year in the run-up to deadlines.

Jan – Feb

New-year resolutions

Fitness, budgeting, and self-improvement content that captures readers acting on new-year intent.

Mar – May

Spring & garden

Home refresh, outdoor gear and gardening roundups timed to the first warm-weather buying wave.

May – Aug

Summer travel & events

Vacation planning, festival guides and seasonal-event coverage that recruits readers in a booking mindset.

The instrument

Seasonal signals we screen — specific, not a keyword hit

A site that says "Christmas" once is not a gift-guide publisher. These signals separate reliable seasonal coverage from an accidental mention, each read from what the site actually publishes and shipped with a confidence score.

Covers the target occasion in depth Gift-guide / roundup format present Annual recurrence (covered it before) Recent publishing cadence Content freshness vs the season window Deals / promo-code content Affiliate links present Audience engagement signals Vertical / category relevance Editorial independence Stale / abandoned since last season (disqualifier) Own commerce / competitor store (disqualifier)

Need a signal that isn't here — "covers regional holidays", "runs an annual awards post", "accepts pre-season sponsored placements"? Custom seasonal signals are defined per engagement and calibrated the same way.

Worked example — holiday gifting run

A seasonal list, in labeled estimates

An illustrative full run for a consumer-electronics advertiser building a holiday gift-guide list. Category and seasonal-fit yields are estimates extrapolated from our classification database; your pilot returns real domains and a projection tuned to your season and ICP.

A note on confidentiality

The profile below is drawn from a real screening run. Because these are independent publishers, we follow standard confidentiality practice on public pages: domains are withheld and descriptions generalized, so the profile is intentionally not traceable to the site — including through a web search — which protects the publisher without changing the underlying data. Pilot and client deliverables carry the actual domains with every signal, so everything can be verified directly.

The deliverable

One row per publisher, scored for the season

The CSV carries topic-match, freshness and recurrence scores alongside your ICP verdict and confidence on every field. Here is a single generalized row from a holiday-gifting run.

Why recurrence beats a single hit

A site that mentions gifting once may never run a guide again. Recurrence — coverage across prior seasons — is the signal that predicts whether the publisher will show up for the window you are recruiting for.

Order by lead time

High-authority annual guides need the earliest outreach. Ranking by seasonal fit and lead time means your team briefs the must-win publishers first, while there is still runway.

Questions

Seasonal publisher discovery — FAQ

How is this different from just searching a keyword?
A keyword search returns any page that mentions the word. We read the site to confirm it genuinely covers the occasion in depth, in a gift-guide or roundup format, and score whether it has done so before. Depth and recurrence are what separate a real seasonal publisher from an incidental mention.
How do you know a site will cover the season this year?
We can't guarantee future behaviour, but annual recurrence — evidence the site covered the occasion in prior years — plus a live publishing cadence is the strongest available predictor. Both are scored fields you can sort and threshold on.
Which seasons can you run?
Any occasion with a recognisable content pattern: holiday gifting, Black Friday, back-to-school, tax season, new-year resolutions, spring/garden, summer travel, and regional or industry-specific events. You name it during scoping and the topic cluster is calibrated on a reviewed sample.
Can you deliver in time for my window?
That's the point of the ranking. The list is ordered by lead time so the publishers needing the earliest outreach surface first. Start the pilot far enough ahead of the season and you will have real names while there is still runway to onboard them.
Can I reuse the list next year?
Seasonal universes age between cycles — sites launch, go stale, or pivot. An optional refresh run before the next season delivers the deltas in the same format, so you keep the durable publishers and catch newcomers without rebuilding from scratch.
What does the free pilot include?
The full pipeline configured for your season and ICP, stopped at the first 20 qualified seasonal publishers — free — plus a projected full-run yield and quotes. It is the fastest way to see real names before the window opens.
