Use case — Dormant partner reactivation

Turn your dormant and expired partner list into a prioritized reactivation list

A partner list rots quietly: sites go dark, rebrand, or stop publishing, while others quietly came back to life. We cross-reference your dormant roster against fresh alive-status and content-freshness signals from 120M+ classified domains — so outreach goes only to publishers still worth reactivating.

The job to be done

Most of your dormant list is dead weight — the rest is easy revenue

A dormant partner already knew your program and, at some point, sent traffic. Re-signing one is far cheaper than a cold recruit. But you can't email the whole list: some domains are dead, some are parked, some pivoted out of your category. The job is to separate the reactivatable from the retired before you spend outreach on either.

Dead and parked domains

Emailing a domain that now 404s or resolves to a parking page burns sender reputation and skews your reactivation metrics.

Pivoted publishers

A site that left your category isn't a reactivation target anymore. Freshness and relevance signals catch the ones that drifted.

Quietly alive again

Some "dormant" partners are publishing weekly again — they just never re-engaged your program. Those are the fastest wins on the list.

How the pipeline solves it

From a stale roster to a scored reactivation list

You supply the dormant list; the pipeline enriches every domain with current signals and ranks it for reactivation.

1

Ingest your dormant list

Your expired and inactive partners come in as a domain export. We canonicalize and deduplicate so rebrands and country variants resolve to one record each.

2

Check alive status

Each domain is checked against fresh crawl data: live, dead, parked, or redirected. Dead and parked domains are flagged out of the outreach set immediately.

3

Read freshness & relevance

The LLM reads each live site for content recency and whether it still covers your category — separating actively-publishing partners from abandoned shells.

4

Re-screen against your ICP

Surviving domains are re-scored on your required, preferred, and disqualifying signals, so you reactivate only publishers that still fit your program today.

5

Rank by reactivation potential

Alive + fresh + on-profile publishers rise to the top; dead, parked, and pivoted domains are separated into a do-not-contact tier with the reason attached.

6

Deliver a scored CSV

One row per canonical domain with current status, freshness, ICP re-fit, and a reactivation tier — ready to sequence in your outreach stack.

Reactivation is the cheapest growth you have. A lapsed partner already knew your program, cleared your onboarding once, and sent traffic before — so a warm re-sign costs a fraction of a cold recruit. The pipeline's only job is to point that low-cost effort at the publishers still alive, still fresh, and still on-profile, and to keep it away from the ones that aren't.
A worked example

Triaging a dormant roster (estimate)

A representative dormant list of tens of thousands of lapsed partners. After alive-status and freshness checks, a large share drops out as dead, parked, or pivoted — and what remains is a clean, prioritized reactivation cohort. The figures below are estimates for illustration.

Freshness and alive-status come from our classification and crawl data (120M+ domains); reactivatable figures are estimates. Reference precision on the vertical screen: ~96% on a reviewed sample.

The saved outreach is the point. Suppressing dead, parked, and pivoted domains protects sender reputation and focuses your team on the tens of thousands of partners that can actually come back.
Status & freshness signals

The specific signals that drive a reactivation tier

Each dormant domain is enriched with current, scored signals — not a one-off "is it up" ping. Together they decide whether a partner is worth an email.

The reactivation CSV, tiered and status-scored

An illustrative slice built from your own dormant list. Reactivation tier is computed from alive status, freshness, and ICP re-fit; do-not-contact rows carry the reason.

A note on confidentiality

The rows below are illustrative and generalized. On public pages we withhold real domains and generalize descriptions, so any profile shown here is intentionally not traceable to a specific site — including through a web search — which protects independent publishers without changing the underlying data. Your pilot and client deliverables contain the actual domains and every signal, so everything can be verified directly.

Every suppression carries a reason. The full CSV adds redirect/rebrand targets, publishing cadence, newsletter and social recency, and a per-signal confidence score — so you can sequence Tier 1 first and audit every exclusion.
Questions

Dormant partner reactivation — FAQ

What do I need to supply?
Just your dormant or expired partner list as a domain export — no traffic data or credentials needed. We canonicalize and deduplicate it, then enrich every domain with current alive-status, freshness, and ICP signals.
How do you tell a dead domain from a parked or rebranded one?
Alive-status is read from current crawl data: a 404 is dead, a parking page is detected as parked, and a redirect is mapped to its new canonical domain. Each classification carries a confidence score so borderline cases are visible, not hidden.
Why re-screen against my ICP if they were already partners?
Publishers drift. A partner from three years ago may have pivoted out of your category or gone thin. Re-screening confirms the site still fits your program today, so you don't reactivate a relationship that no longer converts.
Where does the ~14,000 reactivatable figure come from?
It is an estimate from a representative dormant list: alive-status and freshness survival rates applied across tens of thousands of lapsed partners. It is labeled as an estimate. Your pilot returns real counts from your own list.
Can you re-run this on a schedule?
Yes. Partner lists age continuously, so a quarterly or monthly refresh re-scores status and freshness and delivers the deltas in the same CSV format, keeping your reactivation queue current.
