Use case — Content syndication

Find the content sites worth a syndication or sponsored-content deal

Syndication and sponsored content only pay off on sites with genuine topic depth and a real, engaged audience — not thin republishing farms. We pull your topic space from 120M+ classified domains and have an LLM read each site for editorial depth, audience engagement, and how it already handles third-party content, screened against your ICP.

The job to be done

From a topic space to a shortlist of real content partners

The wrong syndication partner is a site that reprints everything and engages no one. We separate authoritative topic publishers from content mills by reading depth and audience signals directly. Six steps.

1

Pull the topic universe

Your subject area maps to categories in our 120M+ classified-domain database. We pull every active content site in scope, including independent publications no media-list tool tracks.

2

Measure topic depth

The LLM reads whether a site covers your topic with real depth — original reporting, long-form guides, a coherent content archive — versus a shallow page that touches the subject once.

3

Read audience-engagement signals

Newsletter, active comments, linked social with real activity, and a live publishing cadence. Syndication into a dead audience returns nothing, so engagement is scored, not assumed.

4

Check syndication readiness

We flag whether a site already runs guest posts, contributor bylines, or sponsored content — a strong tell that a partnership conversation will land rather than bounce.

5

Screen to your ICP & dedup

Depth and engagement sit on top of your ICP — topic fit, tone, independence. Content farms and pure aggregators are removed by the disqualifier set; canonical domains collapse duplicates.

6

Deliver a scored shortlist

A deduplicated CSV with depth, engagement and syndication-readiness scores, so your partnerships team opens with the highest-fit publishers first.

Who you're prospecting

The kinds of content sites worth a syndication deal

Each is expressed as required, preferred and disqualifying signals we screen for — written from a partnerships lead's vetting logic, so the shortlist reflects who actually converts on sponsored placements.

Independent topic authority

A publication that owns a subject — a multi-year archive, named writers, a loyal newsletter. Readers trust it on your topic, so a syndicated or sponsored piece is read as editorial, not as an ad.

Requires: topic depth · original editorial · audience engagement
Prefers: named authors · runs guest content · fresh cadence
Never: pure aggregator · spun content

Niche community hub

Smaller sites with a tight, engaged readership around a specific interest. Reach is modest but attention is high, which is exactly what sponsored content needs to land.

Requires: topic relevance · active community
Prefers: newsletter · live comments · social presence
Never: abandoned / stale

Contributor-driven publication

Sites that already run bylined guest and contributor content. The partnership motion is proven, so a syndication conversation is a workflow question, not a cold pitch.

Requires: runs guest / contributor content · topic fit
Prefers: media-kit page · sponsored disclosures · editorial standards
Never: vendor-owned

Practitioner / expert blog

Individual experts whose readers act on their recommendations. Placement here reaches a decision-ready audience that treats the author's word as a signal to buy.

Requires: topic depth · practitioner voice · engagement
Prefers: case studies · newsletter · affiliate readiness
Never: spun content · aggregator
The instrument

Syndication signals we screen — depth over volume

Anyone can publish. The question a syndication deal turns on is whether the site has authority on your topic and an audience that actually reads it. Each signal is read from what the site publishes and shipped with a confidence score.

Topic depth & archive coverage Original / long-form editorial Named authors & bylines Newsletter present Active comments / community Live social presence Fresh, regular publishing cadence Runs guest / contributor content Accepts sponsored placements Topic / vertical relevance Editorial independence Pure aggregator / republishing farm (disqualifier) Thin AI-spun content (disqualifier)

Need a signal that isn't here — "has a media kit page", "publishes case studies", "covers enterprise decision-makers"? Custom signals are defined per engagement and calibrated the same way.

A note on confidentiality

The profile below is drawn from a real screening run. Because these are independent publishers, we follow standard confidentiality practice on public pages: domains are withheld and descriptions generalized, so the profile is intentionally not traceable to the site — including through a web search — which protects the publisher without changing the underlying data. Pilot and client deliverables carry the actual domains with every signal, so everything can be verified directly.

Why depth beats reach alone

A high-traffic aggregator with no topical authority converts poorly on sponsored content. Reading depth and original editorial finds sites whose audience trusts them on your subject — where a placement is actually read.

Readiness saves outreach cycles

Flagging sites that already run contributor or sponsored content means your team opens with publishers primed to say yes, instead of pitching cold to editors who never accept third-party work.

Questions

Content-syndication discovery — FAQ

How do you tell topic depth from a shallow mention?
The screen reads for a coherent archive on the subject, long-form and original editorial, and named authors, rather than a single page that touches the topic. Depth is scored, so you can threshold to sites with genuine authority in your space.
Do you filter out republishing farms and aggregators?
Yes. Pure aggregators and thin AI-spun sites are disqualifiers by default. Syndicating into a site that reprints everyone's content and engages no one wastes the placement, so those are removed structurally rather than by hand.
How do you measure audience engagement without private analytics?
From public signals only: a newsletter, active comment threads, linked social profiles with real activity, and a live publishing cadence. We never invent visitor numbers; traffic is reported through reproducible proxies like CrUX presence and rank group.
Can you tell which sites already accept sponsored content?
We flag observable readiness signals — existing guest posts, contributor bylines, sponsored-content disclosures, or a media-kit page. These predict which partnership conversations will land, so your team can prioritise the warmest prospects.
What's in the deliverable?
A deduplicated CSV, one row per canonical domain, with topic-depth, engagement and syndication-readiness scores, your ICP verdict, per-signal confidence, language and geo focus. It imports straight into a partnerships CRM or outreach stack.
What does the free pilot include?
The full pipeline configured for your topic space and ICP, stopped at the first 20 qualified syndication prospects — free — plus a projected full-run yield and quotes. It is the fastest way to see real partners before committing to anything.
