Affiliate vertical — Careers & job boards

Careers & Job-Board Publishers

An estimated ~780,000 domains sit in the careers and jobs category of our 120M+ classification database — niche job boards, career-advice blogs, resume and interview coaches, salary-data sites, remote-work communities and industry newsletters. We screen each against your advertiser ICP and return the publishers worth recruiting, deduplicated to one row per site. That figure is an estimate for framing; your pilot returns the measured count.

Who recruits in this vertical — and what they screen for

Career and HR advertisers each chase a different reader: an active job-seeker, a career-changer, a hiring manager, a freelancer. Each ICP is a precise set of required, preferred and disqualifying signals a full run is screened against.

Resume builders & career tools

Resume and cover-letter SaaS recruit publishers whose readers are mid-application: resume-writing guides, template roundups and interview-prep content. The signal they pay for is a job-seeker in "get hired now" mode, not passive career musings.

Requires: job-search advice · resume / interview content · seeker voice
Prefers: affiliate ready · templates / tools · fresh content
Never: staffing agency · own resume tool
Online course & upskilling brands

Reskilling advertisers want publishers who frame learning as a career move: "switch to tech", salary-by-skill breakdowns and certification ROI. Career-changer stories and outcome data convert their audience.

Requires: career-change content · skill / salary analysis · niche focus
Prefers: comparison content · newsletter · affiliate ready
Never: own bootcamp
Recruiting & HR SaaS (ATS)

Applicant-tracking and HR platforms recruit publishers read by employers and recruiters: hiring guides, HR-ops blogs and recruiter communities. They screen for an employer-side audience, not a job-seeker one.

Requires: employer / recruiter audience · hiring-ops content
Prefers: comparison content · newsletter · active social
Never: competing ATS · consumer-only job tips
Freelance & remote-work platforms

Gig and remote-work marketplaces want creators embedded in the independent-worker world: freelancing guides, remote-job roundups and digital-nomad income reports. Community engagement matters as much as content here.

Requires: freelance / remote-work focus · personal voice · audience engagement
Prefers: affiliate ready · income-report content · newsletter
Never: scraped job aggregator

Screening fields specific to careers publishers

On top of the shared 20-signal vocabulary, this vertical is read against fields built for how careers and jobs content behaves. Every field is extracted from what the site publishes and shipped with its own confidence score.

Job-search advice Resume / interview content Career-change guidance Salary / skill analysis Remote / freelance focus Employer / recruiter audience Industry / role niche Community & engagement Affiliate links present Scraped job aggregator (disqualifier)

Need a field that isn't here — "government / public-sector roles", "targets new graduates only"? Custom signals are defined per engagement and calibrated on your reviewed sample.

An illustrative full run

From the whole vertical to a recruitment list

The funnel below is illustrative, shaped like the shrinkage a real run shows: a broad category narrows to genuine publishers, then to the subset that clears one advertiser's ICP. Every number here is an estimate for shape — your pilot replaces them with measured counts.

Case-study basis for the method: a large-scale production run on our own classification platform had 30M source domains narrowed to 1.73M travel-related, 1.2M ICP-screened, at ~96% precision on their sample review. Careers figures above are estimates, not measured.

Why full-web

Full-web discovery vs. an affiliate marketplace

Networks show you only the career publishers who already enrolled. The independent job boards, niche recruiters and freelance creators your competitors haven't signed never surface there.

The deliverable

What you get on every careers publisher

The output is a deduplicated CSV, one row per canonical domain, importable into any partner CRM. Every publisher arrives with the same structured profile — not a bare URL you still have to research.

Identity

Canonical domain, site name, detected language and geo focus, after mirrors and country variants collapse to a single row.

ICP verdict

Fit result and fit score, computed from your required, preferred and disqualifying signals — not guessed from a keyword match.

Per-field confidence

Every careers field — job-search advice, salary analysis, audience side — carries its own confidence score, so you can slice by certainty.

Monetization & reach

Affiliate-link and display-ad signals, newsletter and social presence, plus reproducible traffic proxies — never invented visitor counts.

Common false positives we remove: scraped job aggregators with no original content, staffing agencies posing as advice sites, dead career blogs, and mismatched audience-side sites. Each is caught by a disqualifying signal rather than left for your team to weed out by hand.
Questions

Careers vertical — FAQ

Where does the ~780K careers figure come from?
It is an estimate of how many domains fall in the careers and jobs category of our 120M+ classification database, shown to frame the opportunity. The exact, measured count for your defined scope is produced by the pilot run — not before.
Can you separate job-seeker sites from employer / recruiter sites?
Yes. "Audience side" is a screened field, so a resume-tool advertiser gets seeker-facing publishers while an ATS advertiser gets recruiter-facing ones. You never have to manually re-sort the list by who the reader is.
Do you exclude scraped job aggregators?
By default, yes — a site that only republishes scraped listings scores low on original content and high on the aggregator disqualifier, so it drops out. If your program specifically wants curated boards, we adjust that signal for your engagement.
Can you scope by industry or region?
Yes. Niche focus, detected language and geo focus are all fields, so you can target, say, only healthcare or tech job boards in a specific country. That is set when we define your scope before the run.
What does the free pilot deliver?
The full pipeline is configured for your ICP and stopped at the first 20 qualified careers publisher domains — free — plus a projection of the complete run's yield and a quote. You review the actual domains with every signal before committing to anything.
